Last week!

Good Morning! It's Monday! Well, don't forget that we have a 20% off your purchase (pretty much the entire store.) until Thursday our last day. (so sad, but chin up as a new adventure begins!)

Well, what are we doing this week. still working on projects, got one from of our morning crew, shared a really cute strawberry favor that we'll be sharing at the Mapunapuna re-opening on Sept. 4th. Still debating what to make for the Pearl City Ben Franklin Paper Party on August 28th Sat. Any ideas? What will I do so early in the morning now.... ah sleep :) lol. But, I look forward to seeing many of you over at Market City Ben Franklin. How will I get my ideas and/or finish up my projects when I get stuck? ..... Your email.

Please come by and sign up for the email list. Look forward to still being able to keep in contact with many of you as you have assisted in sharing your ideas which helped us grow as notecard makers, soft crafters, and just as crafters in general. So please come by and get a really good deal, but also, leave an email if you haven't already.

Next blog will have pictures -- still trying to get a new camera, maybe my flat leilani will travel somewhere exotic and need to get a really good one. :)

But, before that, Christmas present crafts, starting my ideas -- but first I need to make a new slow cooker cover (need a pattern, anyone got one? Thanks Lei's mom for the great laulau receipe!), a receipe box to hold all the receipes that I'm collecting now that I'm trying to learn how to use my slow cooker - any ideas? and a shoe bag (going to use all the fabric that I have, but will be buying that terrific iron on vinyl that someone hooked me up with last year - get 'em at BFS you know and at the back of the CitC store).

As the saying goes so much to do, so little time...So "C"eep on Crafting!

August, Already!

School's started for those public school kids! At least there wasn't too much traffic this morning. Shopping at Long's, good thing got that downtown one and all those friendly faces in the morning ready to greet us all.

Well, August holds many new things for us, we are sad to inform you, that we will be closing Crafts in the City doors on August 12th. It has been great meeting all of you. It has been a pleasure to be of service to all of you from taking an "AC" or "coffee" breaks, just waiting for the pedestrian light to change, on the way to UPS, the downtown post office, or just running errands. Then being able to get to know many of you from the paddling and volleyball groups that you help with, what kind of Starbucks drinks you recommend, school projects that you needed to get completed, and blowing up balloons for that special little person - sending smiles to you. All of you will be missed but not forgotten.

So let's play and enjoy (come by did you see the tweet? did ya? better go check it out!) See ya before the 12th. If not, watch for where to follow us. (Hint: Do you know who Crafts in the City is related to?)

All kinds of new stuff!

Did you read the Star Advertiser yesterday? They were talking about "jelly" bracelets that are in fun shapes. Pretty cool, made me think about Madonna, punk rock and "jelly" shoes, not to mention, clear purses (didn't I just see a Coach one like that recently? or was it Dooney & Burke?) Anyway, I'll be stopping by Ben Franklin today after work to get a few for the family and maybe myself...we'll see.

As for the "grown-up" things, new to the store...We R Memories, we got in new paper and there is the cool card making kit. I think that might be an investment for me. Not much to coordinate and think about plus, I'm always looking for that special handmade card.

Now that I found my camera (shucks, no new camera for my birthday. Maybe I can get something else...what about a yudu, cricut expression, create-topia? do I really need any of that. OF COURSE! what crafter doesn't, well first I need to make more space, but it's that always the question and new year's resolution?) On a different note, here's a picture of the studio g items that we got in -- look for the beautiful black rolling rack -- some of you might know it better as the items that we have 4 for $5.
And of course, Halloween - those of you that came by yesterday -- you are correct, you did see us working on Halloween. Just think, we were just showing you how to make graduation leis the other month and now it's time for the holidays! The EK edge punchse are "cute" and halloween-E!

All kinds stuff going on!

Hey There! Those of you who know about our studio g line --- we got in a new line (blue and brown) all the cupcakes are gone. But these are just as good for 4 for $5. Love it.

As for other things, here's somethings that we did last week. Don't you just love it. Those Hero Arts stamps, just can't control myself. (lol)  We also just got in (Mr. Mail-person, thank you for delivering this morning!) got in a few stickers for Halloween (a few) but they are cute especially if you like Snoopy. (Come by later on this afternoon! did I mention the bat edge punch from EK Success that came with that box, too.)

We got new paper on Friday. Looking at what I can do with the cool/shiny/glittery paper that we got in.
