Crochet Lei Classes and Card Contest!

Do you want to learn to crochet beautiful leis for a friend or family? We hold classes on thursday throughout the month just for you. Next week we are holding a class on Thursday, July 8th from 3pm to 5pm in the afternoon. If you're interested in signing up drop by the store and we can get you on our list. There is a charge for the class and materials are sold seperately. For all other information and questions ask one of our associates today.

For the month of July we are holding a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) themed Card Contest. Here's the rules and requirements:


        1. The card must have a RAK style theme.

        2. To incorporate the new Paper Company
          Cards of any design or color. (For questions
          or location of this item please ask one of our
          associates.)

        3. 75% of product included in the card should
          be bought from the store.

        4. 5*7 is the maximum size for card entrees.

       Cards should be turned in from July 12th to the 16th. Voting begins on the following monday, July 19th, to the 23rd. For all other questions or concerns please stop by today. Our new Calendar for July is also up on Crafts in the City or pick up the calendar inside the store. July's Card Contest Prize will be announced on a later date.
      In observance of Fourth of July we will be closed on Monday, July 5th. Have a GREAT Fourth of July weekend and remember HAPPY CRAFTING EVERYONE!

      Howdy Doody!

      Our craftsinthecity.net website is down for a while right now so if you havent seen what we got on sale this week drop on by and pick up a flier and our new calendar for the month of June.
      Small update today. We got in a new line of beads called Uptown Beads by Dress It Up.  Very neat and stylish, also easy to make. Pick your chain and the beads you want and slip them on. No need to tie, crimp, or toggle, so no hassle!
      We still have a lot of people coming in asking about Leis for their graduates. For any occasion we got TONS of leis to chose from. Want to learn to make one? No problem!

      May is here!

      You know school is almost over, projects for the kids are just around the corner. Finals (cram sessions!) College Libraries open with later hours. Everyone working so hard getting ready for that special graduate. Have you made them a lei yet? What about favors?


      New things we got in Martha punches (and they are on sale). We even got that fuzzy poster that you color in.

      Got Leis! Mothers' Day Card!

       Here we are showing off our lei making skills. Come by and learn how to make a lei for May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii...This Saturday. If not get ready for your kids' May Day programs next week?

      We made this card yesterday, the picture is a little hard to see but we used the Psst! Shimmer Mist!  Really like playing with it. Plus, we used one of the newer EK punches that we got it a few weeks ago. Plus, our favorite stamp dandelion! Add a little ribbon and BO bunny paper (on sale until Friday).

      Straw Lei demo

      Hi All for tomorrow's lei demo per request, by a special customer, from Lei Book VIII, we'll be showing the corded lei on page 18. We figured it out! Easy once you know how to follow the instructions. :) Easy as 1, 2, 3.

      Classes
